The Life and Breath Retreat will be held at Florence House from Friday 16th February to Sunday 18th February 2024.  This wonderful venue sits at the top of Seaford head on the edge of the South Downs.  It’s also just a few minutes walk to the beach.

The house is surrounded by lush landscapes and sea breezes.  It is truly a haven tucked away. In essence, it is a place of inspiration, of calm, that reveals the potential of each guest through the healing energy of the space.

Accommodation and food

Florence House stands within its own 6 acres of peaceful grounds within an area of outstanding natural beauty on the edge of the South Downs National Park and is only a 2 minute walk from the beach. The beautiful interior of the house, the abundant gardens, the proximity to the sea and the wildness of the Downs, makes Florence House a great place for The Life & Breath Retreat.

There are magical places within the gardens for you to take advantage of. Nestled at the bottom of the wild garden, the Florence House Yurt is an invaluable addition to the house. Providing a place of tranquility and peace, along with an abundance of comfy cushions and a wood burning stove, the yurt is ideal for meditation or inner reflection.

You will be served delicious and creative home-cooked vegetarian food, produced by in-house chefs. Produce is locally sourced where possible or from the Florence House kitchen garden. Our retreat is alcohol free (not fun free!)

Situated between Brighton and Eastbourne, Seaford is a beautiful coastal town. Our retreat centre is nestled between the beach and the Stunning Nature Reserve. A handy train station nearby, a good bus service and ample free parking on site, takes the stress out of getting there. 

What will I need?

With a mix of restrictions and learning that most people like to bring their own blankets, here are things to bring with you: 
Warm, comfortable layered clothing, for walks, Breathwork and meditation
– Yoga mat, or comfy blanket to lay on
– A small cushion or pillow and cosy blanket for practices
– Swimming costume and towel if you fancy a sea dip! 
– Suitable shoes/boots for walking 
– Slip on indoor shoes
– Notebook and pen
We do not provide travel to and from the retreat.

Sam Adams is a Life coach, Certified Breathwork Coach, and public speaker based in Brighton, UK.
